- A bit about me
Born in the Bay Area and raised on the soccer field, I've been surrounded by creative influences long before I landed in advertising. From the time I was a kid, I learned if I wanted to make a difference on the soccer pitch, I had to work and play smart, be forward thinking, creative, and go with my gut instinct. Fast forward six years from the last time I touched the soccer field, and I’m now using the same strategies for some of the biggest brands in the world.
Soccer and Strategy are quite similar…
As a center midfielder in soccer I will create spaces and control the flow of the game to help my teammates (creatives) know what areas they should be playing in. Each pass I play into a new space is based on truths and insights of the competition and my teammates (i.e., business goals, and research). I prefer to position my teammates uniquely in a space that is open and filled with potential, rather than give them 50-50 passes. And though my passes are calculated I prefer to give my teammates the freedom to adapt and create as they see fit. Lastly, I like to win. I won’t just stop with the pass, I will play defense, cheer from the bench, and compete till the game is won (i.e. I don’t stop at the brief, I work with the creatives and analyze the launched campaigns).
